After growing up on the west coast of Ireland I studied in Dublin then moved the UK in 2005 to pursue a post graduate internship at the University of Glasgow. I've been at Medivet Impington since 2016 and LOVE our team. Hands down they are the most committed, passionate people I have worked with and they are dedicated to getting the best outcomes for you and your pet. Outside of work I have two tortoiseshell cats and hope one day to have enough time for another dog. In the meantime I enjoy borrowing my neighbour's dog for some lovely walks around Cambridge.

After growing up locally, moving to Western Australia for secondary school and then attending university in New Zealand, I moved home as a qualified vet in 2015. I joined Medivet in 2018, originally as a locum but loved the clinic so stayed on permanently. Even after a few career breaks over the years, I've kept coming back to this practice because of the lovely staff and clients. Outside of work, I enjoy walking my border collie and exploring the great outdoors with my family.

I began nursing in 2014 and qualified at Medivet St. Neots in 2017. I joined Impington as a newly qualified nurse, wanting a new challenge with a bigger team. I grew up on a farm in a local village, getting involved with the family pets and livestock from a young age. I have a Welsh Springer Spaniel called Nigel, and in my free time you will find me on a dog walk, at the beach or on a paddle-board!

I started at Medivet Impington in April 2025 and have felt very welcomed and supported. I've always worked with animals and I'm really keen on animal behaviour. I have my own dog called Milo. My dream would be to volunteer in an animal conservation in South Africa.

I have been working at the practice since October 2017 as a Client Care Assistant and I love combining client care with a love for animals! I had a break from work when I had my son in November 2021, and now work part-time. I have always been interested in cats and their behaviour, after growing up with cats and working in a cat re-homing centre previously. So since working here I have completed the ISFM Cat Friendly Receptionist course as I'm keen to help make our practice more cat friendly. I am also the Medivet Healthcare Plan co-ordinator for the branch. At home, I have 2 cats called Ralph and Buttons, and in my spare time I enjoy nature walks and reading in the sunshine!

I returned to the UK after living and working in France for 10 years, and I returned with a very old French cat in tow, Mimi! I joined Medivet to finally work in an animal orientated environment, although for many years I have helped at a dog shelter in Spain. I'm at my happiest emersed in nature, with sand between my toes, or a dog by my side!

Updated review May 2026. We've continued to use Medivet Impington since sadly saying goodbye to our 16.5 year old dog in 2024, then getting a puppy a year afterwards in 2025. The staff are fantastic and so caring. We recently visited for our young dog's annual vaccination booster and check up. We had a very friendly welcome from Tracey on reception. The locum vet who did the consultation was excellent. We didn't feel rushed and had all our questions answered, unlike another veterinary practice that we tried briefly before returning to Medivet Impington. Many of the staff have not changed and we always feel reassured by their competency and approach. I wanted to update my 3 star review to a 5 star rating from 2018 based on experiences over the last three years. I've left the original review below for information. My 14 year old Jack Russell terrier has had issues with pain from her back and a cracked tooth and chronic pancreatitis. Zoe at Medivet Impington has been a wonderful vet and we always make appointments with her. She has helped resolve my dog's health issues and related behavioural issues. My dog is now much more relaxed and happy and enjoying life. I can't thank Zoe enough for her help, after our bad experience (see below) with a previous vet at the same practice (who has now left). 2018 review (3 stars) I've had good experiences of taking my dog to Hollyoak over the years for various health issues. The care my dog has received from most of the vets and the nursing staff has been exemplary. However I don't feel I received good advice there about my dog's behaviour. My dog has had behavioural problems and we have seen a behaviourist (unconnected with Hollyoak) for these issues who has been really helpful. However before Christmas her behaviour became much worse. Knowing that when she is in pain her behaviour becomes worse I was keen to establish if there was a physical/medical reason. The vet told me that we should think about getting our dog put down and I felt she didn't do a thorough examination before giving this advice. She didn't take my dog's temperature during this appointment. Two weeks later we went back to see a different vet a Hollyoak because our dog was clearly still not right and in pain. Our dog was diagnosed with a back problem and she had a temperature during this second appointment. After being put onto pain killers and anti-inflammatories her behaviour improved immediately and significantly.

We have received conflicting advice by different members of staff which has left us very confused about our pet’s care. Routine care such as vaccination schedules should be communicated clearly and consistently by all staff, to make sure owners feel empowered to take informed decisions.

Medivet Impington is a really great practice. The staff are all really friendly, helpful and relaxed and do everything I need to help my reactive dog during our appointments. The nervous nellies appointments have been brilliant to help him feel comfortable with everything, we've done about 12 already before even having a proper vet appointment as they're such great value and fun for him! I really recommend this vets.

I really appreciate how friendly and relaxed the team is and how helpful they all are for me and my reactive dog, checking if there are any other dogs around before we go through reception etc. And the nervous nellies appointments are brilliant and such good value, and so important for helping him feel comfortable! I also like how if it's quiet Jasper can wander into the other rooms, due to friendly staff as well as the nice open layout (unlike my previous vet where there is the waiting area and everything else is closed off and nobody was very friendly).
Thank you!
