A cat was abandoned in my garden, and I brought it to medivet to chexk the microchip. Hannah was so kind and helpful with everything. I had to call her back a couple of times during the week and she was so so supportive and helpful with advising me what steps should I take. Thank you from Simba and Rick

There was no charge, apart from a small toy I bought. Treatment came under the Healthcare plan. Vet said even the claw clipping as it was Sooty's regular Health Check.

I’ve been going to Medivet Battersea for a while, but I’ve finally had enough. I was recently charged £54 for a paste that costs between £13-£20 everywhere else- triple the price, come on really! This isn’t the first time I’ve felt overcharged and it’s clear they prioritise profit over honesty or customer care. It’s really disappointing to see a vet take advantage of loyal clients this way. I’ll be moving to another practice that values transparency and fairness rather than being money-hungry. I’d strongly suggest others check prices elsewhere before agreeing to any treatments or prescriptions here.

Overpriced!

The staff at Medivet battersea are so nice and kind and friendly. However, quite a few times they have given us incorrect advice, incorrect medication or been generally unorganised which is starting to annoy us. Most recently we were told to give our dog pain killers by one vet, then told by another we shouldn’t have been giving them to her. We were also prescribed the wrong dosage of medication for our dog on one occasion and this made her quite ill. We didn’t get much of an apology for this either. I don’t believe any of this is due to the lack of care or attention by the vets who are absolutely lovely and clearly care a lot. But we’re starting to lose trust with Medivet as a whole, perhaps the vets are overworked and stressed and not able to give as much consideration to these things as they’d like. Medivet has been very understanding and kind to us in regards to paying off our quite large debt over a long period interest free which we appreciate massively. However, one of the reception staff is pretty incompetent so every time we have to speak to her about making payment it’s hard work. She also cannot fathom adding a second phone number to our account and calling that one instead because one of us is at work. We have to ask for this multiple times and it still doesn’t happen. I have put off leaving a review as, as I have already mentioned, we have had so many positive interactions with vets at your practice that it almost outweighs the negative ones. But I have a suspicion that you are working your vets way too hard in the interest of commercial profit and some things are being overlooked and missed.

My cat was in for an operation this Monday and it appeared to be slightly delayed I think because of an emergency in the practice. In events like this it would be good to contact owners whose pets are in to explain their operation might be slightly delayed. For example, we dropped our cat off at 8am but he was not seen until 4pm which caused slight anxiety on my part, but understand in the event of an emergency this is probably the last thing that your staff are thinking about! This is my only minor complaint. All of your staff are lovely and explain everything thoroughly and when I've called up everyone I've spoke to has been very helpful with issues from cats not weeing/pooing post op or how best to deal with insurers!
