I grew up in Kent and qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2012. I joined this practice shortly afterwards and have continued to pursue my interest in advanced dentistry ever since. At home I have my two cats, Optimus and Furiosa, who enjoy living in the countryside as much as I do.

After working as an RVN for two years I decided I wanted to take the next step to be a qualified vet. After a few years experience in other practices I joined this practice in September 2022, which is great as I live locally with my 4 cats and baby boy.

Hello! I'm Grace and I graduated from Edinburgh University in 2024. I grew up in sunny Singapore, but still enjoy hiking/hill walking in the British winds/rain, and also climbing, skydiving and archery :) Veterinary wise, I have an interest in dermatology and diagnostic imaging. Looking forward to meeting you and your little companions!!

I have been here at the practice since 2013 when I started my nursing journey and I went on to qualify in 2017. I'm kept busy at home with the arrival of my daughter, three cats and pointer called Vinnie.

Been going here for years when it was Dragon, prices are quite high with Medivet but all the Staff are lovely so wouldn't change. Never had a problem, saved our Border Collies life when she had pyometra and looked after our cats as well. Trust the Vets and all very friendly, sent us a lovely card when we lost our dog and one of our cats. Wouldn't go anywhere else

Been regulars here since coming up here with 1st dog after 12yrs in the army. Up to our 8th dog now having had 2 rabbits too, one acted more like a dog! Very obliging since our 1st visit, the hosp being Sheriff's Hill. Staff all the same there, pets treat very well. Now the Medivet insurance has been taken out, no prescriptions to pay for. Just ring, order, make appt to collect.

Fantastic service, today. The Vet agreed to see my little dog straight away this morning as soon as I explained what was wrong with her. We were so relieved as our Medivet Practice is closed on a Saturday and Emergency vets are so expensive. The staff were professional and courteous just like our normal practice and instantly made us feel reassured. Thank you so much.

I've always used Dragon vets, for over 35years. Andrew and his team were fabulous and I trusted them 100%. I was sad to see Dragon sold to a chain but can't blame Andrew and his wife for selling up and retiring after many years serving the pet community. I decided to give medivet a chance despite moving out of he area. I trust Hannah, and Lynn on reception also deserves a special mention. I cannot fault the care my dogs have received, one of which is 18 and epileptic, controlled by phenobatbitals. Her life saving medication isn't cheap so I buy preceriptions and buy the drugs online. I understand the practice needs to charge more for medication, they have more overheads than an online pharmacy, fair enough. However, I recently bought a couple of days worth of phenobarbs for emergencies. The outrageous charge is what has led me to write this review. So, for two days worth of pills, that's 4 tablets, I have paid £11.69p. That's just two days worth. My fabulous local online pet pharmacy - hyperdrug, charges 32 pence per pill. Two days worth costs me less than one single tablet from medivet. Medivet want almost £3 PER PILL. This is the height of greed and unacceptable. It is taking advantage of caring pet owners, hardworking people that care about the health and welfare of their beloved animal. I don't know how the chain can justify the cost of the medication. It is nothing but greed, pure greed. If I had to get my medication from the vets I couldn't afford her life saving drugs. Medivet is taking advantage of owners. Please, if your animal needs meds, buy a prescription and buy your medication online, you will likely save hundreds of pounds if not more. I mourn the loss of Dragon vets and their ethics and empathy. Chain vets lack morals, they don't care, all they want is make money out of your poorly pet and your distress. To clarify, I am not criticising the care recieved from Hannah, or Lynn. I am disgusted with the greed of the chain. If you prefer a family run vets, Wright's at Birtley are a small independent surgery. They are highly recommended and won't charge ridiculous prices for meds. 2 stars awarded as one for hannah and one for Lynn.
