I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College London (RVC) in 2019 and joined the Wantage team permanently in March 2021. I have a particular passion for surgery. Outside of work, I enjoy attending rock concerts, theatre shows and cinema screenings. I also play guitar, am a member of a choir and like to unwind by reading, cooking and bullet journaling. I have a tabby and white cat named Lennon, who first arrived at the practice as a stray and needed surgery to fix his dislocated hip. He’s made an excellent recovery and has been keeping my partner Chris and I on our toes ever since!

I started working with animals from a very young age and was fortunate enough to grow up on a farm so always surrounded by animals, cats, dogs, chickens, other small furry animals, and of course large farm animals. I volunteered and worked in kennels, catteries and rescue centres from the age of 13, and even gained my first job after doing work experience with them. I then registered as a Veterinary Nurse in 2016 but had been working and studying within practice for several previous years and joined the amazing Medivet Wantage team in 2022. I have great passion in helping every animal live their best life and have an interest in nurse clinics which helps me to achieve this. When not at work, you can find me out walking with my dog Rosa, playing with my cats, Basil and Sybil, or volunteering with the cadets inspiring them to achieve well.

I originally joined Danetree in 1987 as a trainee veterinary nurse. After a slightly varied career, I began working for Day and Partners (which very shortly changed to Danetree Veterinary Surgeons) in 1995. I qualified as a veterinary nurse from Berkshire College of Agriculture in 1998. I left Danetree in 2001 and took two years out on maternity leave, returning as a part-time receptionist in 2003. In practice I deal with all the insurance claims so you'll usually find me surrounded by a pile of paper work!

I've been working as Veterinary Receptionist since 1997. Me and my family share our home with two cats (we “share” while the cats think they “rule”). Hector is our lazy- and not so bright, ginger cat who I re-homed as an abandoned kitten. Hattie is our young cat who I re-homed.

We visited Medivet in Wantage last week for a free mobility check for our Maine coon, Charlie. As always, the service from all staff could not be faulted. The waiting rooms are spacious with treats available for both cats and dogs. Charlie seemed at ease with the vet and behaved himself during the appointment! Would happily recommend to all friends and family.
