Medivet Southfields - Temporarily Closed

I had to collect a urine sample from my pet and was given a urine collection container and a follow up appointment was booked for the following week. However, I was never told that once I'd collected it, I would have to bring the sample back to the vets that the same day or the sample would be unusable and discarded. This is critical, essential information to pass onto owners so please make sure people know this in future. It makes complete sense of course, but it's just not something the average person would know or should even be expected to know without medical knowledge or training.
On an entirely separate note, the staff used to be able to do an insurance claim for me and I would then subsequently pay the remaining balance. Since that's changed, I've had a few instances where I misplace the invoice until after the deadline for submitting claims has passed leaving me hundreds of pounds out of pocket.

I have lodged a complaint. Not only did I feel over charged but also the vet was very rushed throughout the appointment with little opportunity for discussion

Staff are always so supportive friendly & helpful. Vets are knowledgeable and they remember both me & my dog giving very good continuity of care to him.

I have no qualms over the services they provide are will always put the considerations of the pet first, but I have serious considerations over their practices to overtreat and overprescribe. I would always price compare because Medivet's margins seem very high compared to independent vets

It's been days from my visit and I am still waiting for an email follow up the vet promised he'd send, with further instructions to care for my pet. I've called a few times but it hasn't happened yet.

The staff at Southfields are amazing! They have looked after our dogs Coco and Mable so well over the years. Highly recommend!
