Originally from Yorkshire, Kirsty graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2018 and received licenses to practice in both the UK and the USA, after completing two veterinary final exams. Since then she has worked in a mixture of busy hospital and small clinic environments, including a period in the Falkland Islands, before relocating to London. She has particular interests in Small-Animal Dentistry, the human-animal bond and providing a ‘fear-free’ experience for patients receiving veterinary care. She has recently completed the WSAVA certificate in pain management and holds an OV qualification for pet travel and exports. Kirsty enjoys travelling, running, and exploring new food and music venues across the city. She has two family pets, Lola the Labrador and a rescue cat, Panda the Turkish Angora.

I am a proud British-Canadian that calls Chiswick home here in London but I did, however, find my way to W4 from York in the North Riding of Yorkshire. I was indoctrinated into the animal fold from the day I was born with my best friends growing up being a border collie named Toby and a cat named Wellington Boots (Bootsy for short). My two best chums now (other than my wife, of course) are the lovely felines pictured here with me; Lilly at my left and Daisy at my right. I have been blessed with the company of eight cats and three dogs in my life thus far and am now proud to serve the companions of others in their times of need in WC1 and beyond. Also, my grandfather was born right here in Bloomsbury, in the heart of the city, so I am fully invested in serving this great, learned area as it runs in my blood. Outside of animals, my passion is sports - mainly football and hockey - and I am a season-ticket-holder at a football club here in London. I also love history and architecture which you'll see if you come visit us, as I have a 19th Century photograph of Gray's Inn Road at my desk.

I am originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, and qualified as a Registered Nurse in January 2016. Having grown up around animals, I always knew I wanted to work with them, and one of the joys of this career is the daily opportunity for cuddles with our inpatients. I later joined Medivet’s Support Centre, before moving on to work with three of our wonderful practices, where I’ve been able to provide support to our teams and help them deliver the best possible care. My favourite animal: Too hard to choose! I have three kitty cats: my Tuxedo cat, Sylvie, our naughty Torti cat, Lyra, and our Russian blue, Kylo My Interests/Likes: Clinical: Veterinary reproduction, radiography and laboratory techniques, and enhancing practice standards. Personal: Traveling, cooking, and photography.

I've always received such great service at the two medivet practices I have attended. The Bloomsbury practice is so friendly and its very calm and relaxed which is great for the animals it being smaller. The reception staff are great and always exceedingly friendly and helpful and Kirsty and Fraser the two vets have been amazing so chatty, explain everything so well, the examination and assessment always very thorough. Mabel is always very relaxed and seems to enjoy have little roam around the consultation room! Thank you very much.

    Medivet Bloomsbury opened in early 2024. The team at the practice pride themselves on great client care and look after your pet as if it was their own. They have the full support of the 24 hour facility at Medivet 24 Hour Camberwell and if you need to visit Camberwell outside of Bloomsbury's opening times they have full access to your pets medical history.
