I grew up in the wilds of Yorkshire, reading James Herriot and Richard Adams, so it seemed only natural that I became a vet. After a few years, I realised cats and dogs were a lot less muddy than farms and cows, so I moved across to small animals and now I’m part of the amazing hospital team in Poole. When not at work you'll find me curled up with my cats or being the proud mum to my cheeky teenager.

Hi, I'm Adele and I work on the night team covering out of hours and emergencies. When I'm not at work, I am kept busy with my menagerie of two dogs, two horses, a tortoise and eight ferrets. I'm soon to rehome a feral cat too. As well as this, I'm studying for a canine and equine physiotherapy degree which will help our patients while staying overnight.

My name is Donna and I am part of the emergency team. I have been a been a veterinary nurse for a really long time. It is the best and sometimes hardest job in the world! And I love it! My own cat was really poorly last year and the brilliant team @ Poole 24hr looked after us both and nursed him back to health.

I have been part of Medivet for 4 years, starting as a mobile PCA before training to become a student veterinary nurse. My favourite part of my job is looking after the inpatients so they are happy, healthy and ready to go home. At home I have 2 dogs called Poppy and Lottie as well as 4 rabbits (Benji, Evie, Teddy and Dotty). When not at work, I like spending time with my pets, diamond painting and playing games.

I'm Sian i love all animals shape and sizes and looked after many whilst living in spain for 12years. I currently have a cat called daisy-doo and my 2 axolotls, light fury and toothless. My role is a twilight patience care assistant, assisting the nurse and vets treat the poorly animals whilst assessing emergencies over the phone and talking to worried owners is the main part. Look at becoming a nurse in the future.

I'm a Registered Veterinary Nurse, I've only be qualified a year and a half, so still feel I'm learning everday. I've wanted to work in the veterinary field since I was 7 years old when we used to take my old cat to the vets. My favourite part of the job is when we care for a long term inpatient and every day we see them get slightly better until they are ready to go home. I've got a beautiful ginger cat at home called Biscuit, he is a stray I adopted from work. In my spare time, I hang out with friends and family, watch movies and play with Biscuit

Always have a helpful suggestion to tackle little issues have with pet. This time it was a hot tip on how to get my cat to take his tablets. Worked a treat.

Was given Bravecto for a large cat instead of a small dog. Good that we checked as the picture of a cat was covered by there prescription sticker. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing in this scenario. This shouldn't happen. My trust for them doing anything more complex leaves me questioning there ability. Another thing which is very strange, why advertise urns and cremation options in the lobby by the reception. It's like walking into a hospital and seeing coffins advertised. Give a leaflet if something unfortunate happens, but to advertise it. Very strange and uncomfortable seeing.

Welcoming, friendly, attentive, professional. Answered questions and explained things clearly without being patronising. An all round excellent experience. I'm sorry my dog wouldn't eat your treats but he won't eat the groomers either so please don't feel bad about it.

Choose a different vet. This practice was late with my dog's vaccination and tried to say it was my fault. When I took her to the surgery the table was dirty from the last animals being treated. I asked the vet to clean the table and reminded the vet to wash his hands. I want to cancel my dog's healthcare plan due to the nonchalant attitude and corrupt company attitude but I'm now being hounded and forced to pay until January 2027. Bad attitude and sloppy service but very quick to chase for money even though I've paid for the last two years! Choose a different vet.
